Safety Tips
ShadiVibah is built for serious matchmaking, but member safety still depends on caution, verification, and common-sense decision-making. Use the following best practices whenever you create a profile, speak with a new member, or move a conversation offline.
1. Keep Your Profile Honest and Controlled
- Use accurate biodata, recent photos, and truthful information about age, education, profession, marital status, and location.
- Do not post highly sensitive personal information in public profile text fields.
- Review your privacy settings and visibility controls regularly.
2. Protect Money, OTPs, and Documents
- Never share OTPs, passwords, banking credentials, or UPI PINs with anyone.
- Be careful before sending money, gift cards, travel payments, or emergency assistance to any member.
- Do not share identity documents or private family records unless you clearly understand why they are needed and with whom they are being shared.
3. Verify Before You Trust
- Cross-check important claims such as job role, city, family details, and relationship intent.
- Use voice or video calls when appropriate before moving to deeper discussions.
- Involve trusted family members or guardians where relevant to your process.
4. Meeting Offline
- Choose public locations for early meetings.
- Tell a trusted person where you are going and whom you are meeting.
- Arrange your own transport whenever possible and avoid rushed decisions.
5. Report Suspicious Activity
If a member behaves aggressively, asks for money, impersonates someone else, pressures you into secrecy, or appears to run a scam, stop responding and contact support immediately through our Contact page. You can also review the Community Guidelines for behavior standards.
